Big rats prosper in big cemented canals where they are almost as big as cats. Mountain rats are big and well-tainted and perhaps in the mountain, they can eat better food but in the city or towns, they eat rubbish because that is what is available to them. But they can eat your food if you don't keep it in a safe place beyond the reach of rats. A rubbish removalist may find rats in the garbage.
Rats can eat anything that humans eat or what other animals eat in the wild but where people are, they eat rubbish that people throw away.
If rats are near the farm, they can eat root crops and fruits. They can also eat left-overs if people throw them in canals. People should be careful not to discard their left-over anywhere because rats will eat these and proliferate. It would be an added job for the rubbish removalist to have to eradicate rats from communities.
As they are carriers of rabies, they should not be allowed to increase in population as to cause a plague. If the rubbish removalist had to eliminate rats, cats that kill rats can be a great help to them. Citizens should rather feed cats and keep them as pets so that the rat population will be controlled.
Waste disposal is a growing problem of every city, including Rouse Hill. But, with proper waste management methods, this particular problem can be lessened, and if not, solved all the way. There are different ways of rubbish removal and each has its own advantagea and disadvantagea. The first method is the Biological Reprocessing method which is very effective, but this only applies to biodegradable wastes like food, paper, and other plant material. Another method of rubbish disposal is the Sanitary Landfill which is convenient, but it will need a lot of manpower to maintain it. This is the most commonly practiced waste disposal method in most cities because of its convenience and the ease of implementing it. The government can still afford employing those people who will be maintaining these landfills for a considerable amount of time. Among those other methods include energy recovery and ocean dumping wherein the latter has gained much controversy of the potential pollution that it can cause.
